Another ten day drop of my 365 photo-a-day challenge! I hope you are enjoying these Monday posts.

Ramos Torres Winery

Black and white photo of wine barrels. Taken on Mother’s Day while wine tasting.

Mask Up, Fresno

Shot with Canon Rebel T2i; edited in photoshop/lightroom; Tower District, Fresno, CA

Two signs on Van Ness – “Mask Up, Fresno” and “Tower Together.” Saw this as I was driving down my favorite street in the Tower District. Made a quick U turn to get the photo. As I’m writing this in July, it’s interesting to see this after everything has started opening back up again. I’m still not used to not wearing a mask. haha!

Cue Queen Song

Shot with Canon Rebel T2i; edited in photoshop/lightroom; Fresno, CA

Catching Timmy on the bike. He’s still, but the background is blurred behind him. I’ve been wanting to catch a photo like this for awhile! It’s hard to get the movement crisp, but I feel like I did it well with this shot. But let me tell ya, there were plenty during this session that didn’t work out. ha! It’s practice, practice, practice. It was also a fun bike ride day.

Warp Zone to Level SK8

Shot with Canon Rebel T2i; edited in photoshop/lightroom; Melody Park, Fresno, CA

Green rainbow slide rail at Melody Park with a Mario sticker on the center beam. Props to my husband who came up with the clever name for this photo.

75/365 – 5.13.21

Attempting Food Photography

Shot with Canon Rebel T2i; edited in photoshop/lightroom; Fresno, CA

Set up a keto cheesecake fruit salad on a marble top, with spoon lucked and berries scattered. This was more difficult than I imagined it to be, but was interesting and fun to do! Just like the time I tried to get a get photo of my cat and thought, “Man pet photography is hard,” I had a similar feeling with attempting food photography.

76/365 – 5.14.21

I Don’t Want to be Broken

Shot with iPhone 11 Pro; edited in camera app; Fresno, CA

Black and white photo of my head submerged in the water of a bath, after having my first anxiety attack.
It’s difficult to see this photo again months later. This day was incredibly hard and I was struggling so much. Thankfully I haven’t had one as bad as this since this episode, and they don’t come very often. I’m not broken.

77/365 – 5.15.21

Second Spring

Shot with Canon Rebel T2i; edited in photoshop/lightroom; Fresno, CA

Drops of water from sprinklers on succulents, on a cool, breezy, spring day. I call it second spring because it came after a heatwave.

78/365 – 5.16.21

Pellegrino Kitten

Shot with Canon Rebel T2i; edited in photoshop/lightroom; Veni Vidi Vici Restaurant, Fresno, CA

Richard Lloyd Giddens Jr. playing his bass at Veni Vidi Vici Restaurant with a glass of wine and a Pellegrino on the side. Every time I see Pellegrino, it makes me think of Richie. It was a fantastic night out for dinner and jazz for the first time since quarantine. Beautiful music, great food, and the start of social interactions.

79/365 – 5.16.21

Vaccines Save Lives

Shot with Canon Rebel T2i; edited in photoshop/lightroom; Fresno City College, Fresno, CA

Line of cars at FCC for people getting vaccinated.

80/365 – 5.18.21

Scrabbling my Brain

Shot with iPhone 11 Pro; edited in camera app; my patio, Fresno, CA

Spee and April playing scrabble on the patio after a fun meal. First time hosting a dinner after quarantine, and it was super fun! The dinner part. I hate scrabble. haha!! But those two love it, so it was worth pulling out the game. 🙂

  1. Fabulous picture of Timmy! The one of you in the tub breaks my heart. So glad you’re better. Scrabble nerds unite! (So glad I’m not one. 🙂 )
